Britain’s Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles on Wednesday arrived in Indian capital city New Delhi on a two-day visit, officials said.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet Prince Charles and discuss several issues.

“The visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations,” a foreign ministry official said.

“The prince is scheduled to meet the Indian prime minister tonight and discuss a wide range of issues including that of the upcoming commonwealth heads of government meeting which will take place in April 2018 in the UK, climate change, sustainable development goals, economic cooperation, etc.” the official said.

The duo came to India as part of their four-nation tour to Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia, and India.

India’s foreign ministry said India-Britain trade is at 12.19 billion U.S. dollars and India is the third largest investor in Britain and the second largest international job creator in Britain.

According to the ministry, Britian is the third largest inward investor in India, with a cumulative equity investment of 24.37 billion U.S. dollars for the period of April 2000 to June 2017. (Xinhua)
